    Reconfiguring Site Launches

We are pleased to announce the launch of a dynamic new public art program at the School of  Visual Arts called “Reconfiguring Site: New Approaches to Public Art and Architecture.”

Artists are crossing boundaries from the private sphere of galleries and museums into more public arenas, engaging a variety of media and disciplines to revitalize parks and urban spaces.

Spend two weeks in New York City immersed in an intensive public art residency program where in depth approaches to public art will be addressed. This residency will expose participants to lectures, studio visits, and workshops by an international group of visual artists, architects, landscape architects, new media artists and performance arts working in the public realm today. Full time faculty and studios with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities form the foundation of this exciting new residency program at School of Visual Arts in the heart of New York’s Chelsea District. Come join us this summer!
